Applied Artificial Intelligence, A.S. (60 credits)

This two-year degree will provide students with technical AI skills, programming knowledge, and experience with real-world AI applications. The Applied Artificial Intelligence Technology Associate in Science (A.S.) degree prepares students with both foundational computing knowledge and applied skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The program integrates general education, core computer science competencies, and specialized AI coursework to develop well-rounded graduates capable of working with modern AI technologies. Students will gain hands-on experience in programming, data management, machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. Emphasis is placed on practical application, problem-solving, and the responsible use of AI systems in real-world contexts. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level roles in AI, data, and technology-driven fields, as well as to support career advancement for working professionals. This degree represents the culmination of the Artificial Intelligence pathway, building upon the AI Awareness and AI Practitioner certificates. Graduates may pursue employment in roles such as AI technician, data analyst, or junior machine learning specialist, or continue toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or related disciplines.
